Terms and conditions

Our terms for appointments and treatment.

These terms apply when you book an appointment with Brightwell Clinic at either of our clinics. Please read them before you book.

1. Booking an appointment

Appointments may be booked through our online booking service or by telephone during clinic hours. Your booking is confirmed once we have accepted it and taken any fee due at the time of booking.

2. Fees and payment

Our fees are set out on our prices page. The fees that apply to you are the fees in force for the date your appointment was booked. Appointment fees are payable at the time of booking unless the price list says otherwise. Treatments applied during an appointment, and any device prescribed, are charged in addition and only if that treatment goes ahead.

3. Changing or cancelling

If you need to change or cancel an appointment, please give us as much notice as you can so the time can be offered to another patient. Late cancellations and missed appointments may be charged, as the clinical time has been reserved for you.

4. Arriving late

If you arrive late we will treat you for as much of your booked time as remains. Where too little time remains to treat you safely, the appointment may need to be rebooked.

5. Your care

Treatment is provided by clinicians registered with the Health and Care Professions Council. We will explain the assessment findings and the options available to you, and treatment goes ahead only with your consent. No clinical outcome can be guaranteed.

6. Your responsibilities

Please tell us about your medical history, medication and any allergies, and let us know if these change. Following the aftercare advice you are given is an important part of your treatment.

7. Orthoses and devices

Custom devices are made to a prescription taken from your assessment and are not transferable. Where a device needs adjusting after fitting we will advise you what is included and what is charged, before any work is carried out.

8. Children and accompanying adults

A parent or guardian must attend with anyone under 16 and give consent for assessment and treatment.

9. Parking and access

Parking at the Reading clinic is not available other than one disabled space, which must be arranged with reception in advance. The private spaces belonging to 2 Brightwell House must not be used. Please see our Reading clinic page for nearby public parking.

10. Concerns and complaints

If something has not gone as you expected, please tell us. Call 0118 958 7151 or email info@brightwellclinic.co.uk and we will look into it and reply to you.

11. Information about you

How we handle your personal and health information is set out in our privacy notice.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
